LUMPIA YumYum!
Published by kept-posted April 7th, 2008 in Photography.Another day is about to end, but before that, let me reflect on what have I done the whole day aside from sitting in front of the monitor. So In the morning, I personally prepared the meal for the whole family since my Mom is going early to our business. So it would be my time to shine..in the kitchen that is. LOL. As i was thinking on what to prepare for breakfast, one specialty crosses my hungry mind. Every time there are fiestas or gatherings, i really look for this kind of food. Actually, it’s one of my favorites! And the recipe of the day is what we call here in the Philippines “Lumpia”, I asked my sister Angie on what they call that in the US, and she said it is Spring roll. I actually have no idea why they named that spring rolls, maybe because on how it is being prepared..into rolls. Whatever we call that, surely it’s delicious and mouth watery that is. It’s funny because I formulated my own recipe. Below, I will share my recipe and the steps on how I prepared my specialty. I also included some pictures so that you-readers might as well see the preparation. LOL.
The ingredients are the following: Sayote, Carrots, Ham, Cheese, and Sweet Pickles all sliced into strips, I just added some seasoning and a pinch of powdered black pepper to add some taste. I then completed my recipe by wrapping with the lumpia wrapper, which is made from flour. After wrapping the ingredients, I fried them in hot cooking oil until crisped and cooked. Aside from it’s so healthy and yummy; it also cost a lot cheaper. So, tanaaan! My meal was excellent… and the family loved it.
wink!
