While on vacation for a few months, my son had a little accident which was a big deal to me. He hit his eyebrow on a hardwood armchair in my parents’ house which made a cut that left a half an inch scar just under his brow over his right eye. Good thing it’s not the eye itself that was badly hurt or damaged. But anyway, I know he was hurt that I had to take him to the hospital for the doctor to see what she could do.

I had my health insurance card with me that covers my son and I which is really important even while out of the country, but thank goodness I didn’t have to use it at all. I paid a few bucks for the consultation and prescription only while I bought the medicine at the pharmacy which wasn’t a lot of money compared here in the states. I think a travel health insurance should be one thing that people these days have to consider especially those who love to travel. You can never be too sure about your safety and health, you know.
