I know how important it is to get an individual health insurance. After having a baby, I am so thankful that the hubby took care of it just before I got pregnant. Our hospital bills were huge. If not because of the health insurance, the whole thing would have been a misfortune. Thank goodness we didn’t have to break the bank in order to do our obligation which is to pay the hospital and the doctors. Good friends of ours though didn’t do the same as getting a health insurance. Their maternity expenses aren’t covered which means they have to pay the $40,000 they owe after the delivery of their baby. Now, they are considering the idea of applying for Medicaid which is not a sure thing whether they will be accepted or not. I hope they will get some financial help should worse comes to worse. It’s a lesson learnt and they should get the proper health insurance for their future.
