Humpty Dumpty Had a Great Fall

Yesterday morning, I woke up from the scream of my son. I knew it! He fell off the bed on a cement floor. I was all shocked and yet I was able to pick him right up and he stopped crying. Everyone panicked in the house especially my father. It was about 2 a.m. and we all got up to check what just happened. Poor child. I should have put him back on my right side which is safer as it’s closer to the side of the wall in the bedroom. I was feeding him awhile before that on my left side and then he went right back to sleep soundly before he fell. I thought I didn’t have to move him at all as I was afraid to wake him up a bit and so the thing I was most afraid of just took place. I checked on him paying much attention on his head and couldn’t seem to find anything wrong. I only noticed his left ear was slightly red. He must have fallen on that side. I didn’t really know what to say or do.

I didn’t know how to react. No, I didn’t cry at all. I was just hoping he would be just fine. He was still sleepy and went right back to sleep again and yet I was really scared so were my parents. They felt really sorry for him. I thought I won’t be able to go back to sleep again since I was all worried of what might happen to him later on. He didn’t throw up or anything anyway. I was observing him while he was fast asleep hoping he wasn’t all shaken. If he had fallen with his head first, brain damage would really be scary. But, he is fine after all. I guess his angel was there to cushion him on his fall. LOL. It was quite a traumatic event that I can’t let happen again. Never.
