Custom Pens
Published by kept-posted December 2nd, 2007 in Uncategorized.I have noticed that a lot of public establishments like restaurants, machine shops, golf ranges, and the like are into promotions that doesn’t necessarily cost too much. Have you noticed that they actually advertise through little things they offer to their customers for free such as on matches, golf tees, or custom pens with the name and other information specifically the addresses and phone numbers of the store or restaurant printed on them? I think that’s really clever. I noticed it a lot on pens which are really very useful anytime. It’s a good reminder for customers or potential clients that may get the chance of using it which will eventually drive in sales or frequent patronization.
I had to laugh when I read that because I used to work for a mail order company that sold those customized pens and key chains and other tschotskes. I was in charge of the sample room. We kept a stock of all of our returned mistakes to give out to customers who wanted to see an item before they orderd it. I saw businesses from all over the world in that room.
The best request we ever got was a guy called once and asked if we could do a key chain shaped like a banana. The salesperson said yes. He then asked if the banana could be beige. She asked him why he would want a BEIGE banana. He said, “Well, we’re a gay hotel…”
Hope you’re having fun on your trip. We missed you two on Thanksgiving.
