Since after coming back from a long vacation, I’ve been missing the hobby of taking pictures. I’ve always find photography very interesting and I love the works of really good photographers that share their lot online. I would love to give this art a try pretty soon and I am actually into reading reviews on a beginner’s digital camera ideal for photography as an art or whatchamacallit. I know they can get really pricey especially if we’re talking about Digital Single-lens Reflex model of camera or best known as the DSLR. I have always admired people especially bloggers who in one way or another get to show and share their photography skills to others.I know it can be fun and I will be joining in the fun real soon.

I have given up my point and shoot camera — I gave it away to my sister who needs one. I think it’s about time that I will give my simple dream a try. Someone actually is willing to get it for me as my Christmas present last year which has been long delayed for I was out of the country and that’s no other than my better half. He had been asking which one I really wanted as he will be ordering it online.Well, here I am who is not at all that knowledgeable when it comes to the right gadget to have for this hobby that I wanted to explore. Should I go for the “name” or the reputation? After all, it’s not something that you can simply get rid of when you spent hundreds of dollars on it after you find out you are not really going anywhere to such hobby. It will not go to waste as anyone needs a digital camera these days anyway.

I know Canon is a good name and a reputable brand and I am looking into getting their most popular Rebel XTi of 2006 which may not be the high-end model or the latest one on the market that professionals go for, it should be a good start for someone who is only a beginner. And there is the latest one which is an upgrade called the Rebel XSi or the Canon 450D, but not available just yet until April so might as well wait for that one to come before making a decision, huh? Lots of choices really which I hate to have sometimes as it makes it harder to decide and pick “the one”. We’ll just see later on where this fascination leads me. Anyhow, it’s a big world out there and photography isn’t for everyone, I must say! I will dare myself. Who knows, I can make a difference.

Anyway, here’s an overview of Canon EOS Rebel XSi (a.k.a. 450D) SLR
