First Baby Shower

Last Saturday, I didn’t expect a surprise baby shower since I already knew a relative of mine planned to have it this coming Saturday. I didn’t expect it to happen earlier than the one I was looking forward to which is also exciting. It was on my husband’s side of the family. I didn’t make a lot of friends since I came here, but it made the party a memorable one though the family is small with a couple of friends from my husband’s old neighborhood came over. I was really surprised that morning when he told me we were going to a baby shower thinking we have nothing planned for the day. I thought he was only kidding and must have forgotten it’s gonna be on the 11th. Janeth, his nephew’s wife planned it and told him to tell me on the day of the shower so I won’t come over with a dropped jaw, unprepared and feeling sorry I didn’t dress up. It was a lunch time affair and I did make an effort to wear a maternity dress appropriate for the shower on a sunny yet cool day of this season. I was able to handle it anyway. 
It wasn’t a surprise on the spot yet it was still an effective surprise since I didn’t have an idea whether someone in the family was going to do it. We did enjoy the games and fun prizes especially the gift opening part on the first baby shower. Now that we got some baby stuff, I can’t wait to actually change our baby’s first diaper.
This Saturday will be another fun day. We will have another baby shower at Sonia’s home. Let me have this chance to thank her in advance for sparing us a place to gather for that day. I look forward to seeing everyone.
Angie, am happy for you. It looked like everyone was having fun at the baby shower party esp. you and John. I like that baby diapering game. (smile) It seemed that you got a lot of baby stuff! Wow!!! Mora ug ready naman kaayo mo tan-awon ni John.

wow baby shower..hahah grabe na yan hapit na jud ka manganak dae angie..hmm i remember my baby shower too sa office sa akong bana la jud ko kabalo..kaingnon pud ko na mag lunch lang me with him..na wa pa gani ko ligo ato la pa jud hilam-os mao pa akong pag mata unya me abot akong bana..na mokaon ra bitaw sa gawas unya uli dayon..hala k naa man diay baby shower naulaw jud ko k la jud ko nag soot ug tarong..pero enjoy bitaw sad..labi na kong daghan ka madawat na regalo..lolz
