It’s been a while since the last time I posted something here about my pregnancy - just got busy and lazy because of the extreme heat of this summer. I have to visit the other girls’ blogs, too. I’m here you gals!We just got back from the doctor after an ultrasound to identify the baby’s gender. It’s a boy! It was another typically dramatic scene in a medical center unltrasound room for an expectant mother to shed a tear of joy when told “I know what you’re having, I can see it right here - it’s a boy or girl”. My husband is so happy to hear it from the clinician as soon as it was spotted on the sonogram. It has been a wish for me to have a boy as our first, but it didn’t really matter. Even before I was married I always thought it’s nice to have a baby boy first as most men would also wish to have as the first born. I thought it would be a good gift for the husband as it’s going to be a bundle of joy just as glorious as most women are going to be when expecting a girl. It didn’t really matter as long as the baby is healthy and normal.
Before we knew we’re going to have a boy, whenever my husband was asked what he thinks we’re having he would answer it in a funny way, “We don’t care if it’s a boy or a girl as long as it’s a boy!” The guessing game is over and now I can leave a testimonial to the Chinese Calendar that I tried for fun online which is said to give a 90% baby gender prediction as early as the date it’s conceived. It did give me an it’s-a-boy prediction at the earliest stage when I found the website. It might just be a coincidence or just pure luck on it since it’s not as accurate as seeing the picture of your baby while in the womb.
We waited for this time since we haven’t decided on a name yet so we can only focus on one which is now a good start knowing that it’s a boy. This is getting exciting. My husband’s so thrilled about it he could buy a set of golf clubs with blue grips for our boy. As soon as we got home he sent e-mails to his bestfriends to spread the news. I too, is inspired to share this to everyone.

Angie, oh boy oh boy, am so very happy to hear the great news! Can imagine and feel your joy esp. John’s beaming face. He sounds funny though that he really wants a BOY. Well, as you said that it didn’t matter as long as the baby is healthy and normal BUT we can’t avoid to wish for a boy as the first born. (smile) Babies are great blessings! Deciding names would be the next step. If John wants to retain his Irish tradition, because the first baby is a boy, it should be named after the father. (smile) Wish you good luck! Ingat always. Yes Son, we are both happy today dako jud ug ngisi si John. Nitulo jud ako luha pag-sulti na nga it’s a boy. Wa jud ko’y nasulti.
John’s father was also John, I don’t think I will follow it. We still don’t have the list of names
to choose from though.

Thanks Carlotz, sure ang kalipay namo especially this time na wala nay tag-an tag-an kung blue ba or pink ang color code for the baby. Hehe.
