For several times in weeks, I’ve been asking my dear friend about the date of her wedding and she would only answer me she isn’t preparing just yet. She had been waiting for the guy to make the first move which is to provide the financial aspect in order for them to begin the first steps. My friend is already teaching in a remote public school and she’s almost 3 months pregnant. It’s the main reason why she and her boyfriend decided to get into marriage. Other than that, getting a teaching job in a government school is kind of strict when you are a single parent especially among women.

Yesterday, I got a text message from her telling me I will be the one to light the candle on their wedding along with one of our closest friends who is going to be my partner. It will be on the 16th of February at 8 am. I am grateful and happy that she will be settling down pretty soon. It’s going to be pretty exciting to see some of our friends too that are going to be there. I had asked what she wants for her wedding and she told me she would like a house and lot. So, I said I’d be willing to give her a house and lot picture that is! It’s a good timing that while I am still here I would be able to witness the day she will be called a misses. Anyway, I am looking forward to it.
