Kept-Posted

Hubby and I just finished our conversation over at Yahoo! Messenger which we do twice a day. We talk in the morning and before bedtime. He wants to see Casey everyday on the webcam so he won’t forget him for the whole time we are spending our vacation for months without him. He is in Orlando, FL right now for the annual PGA Merchandise Show. He will be there for a week and will drive to his friend’s house in Port St. Lucie and stay there for another week or more to finish their project together. That’s one of the few reasons why he couldn’t join us here in my hometown. It’s a treat for me and my son anyway to be away for the winter which can be dreadful when the temperature gets really low. I hate to think Casey celebrated his first birthday and Christmas without his dad though. He might be missing his first steps too. Oh well, I’m glad hubby reached his destination safe and sound although he said the trip was grueling. He drove at least a thousand miles and spent a night in one of his several stops on the way which we also did before.

I tell you, driving to Florida from NY which I had experienced 2 years ago is not something everyone would dare do all the more from CT which is an additional 2 hours. That doesn’t really make a big difference, but the whole trip in itself was something I would love to love and hate at the same time. I love sightseeing which can be fun especially going through, seeing and or stopping by at different states of America which is interesting for someone like me, but the long hours of boredom and the crazy highway can drive you really nervous and not to mention the big trucks. Yeah, those big kings of the road at I-95 which at night can be furious, even the look of a giant billet grille on one makes me think that it could grill up some poor little cars in no time once the driver gets reckless. To top it all I am happy looking ahead that February is not at all that long a wait. Casey and I will see his daddy sooner than we expected.
