Six Feet Underground

I know it sounds weird when people prepare about what’s yet to come that is undeniably inevitable which is death. Our lives here on earth is temporary. Therefore, getting a funeral insurance is one way of showing our family that we care about them in case we forget to breath again in our sleep or when accident cheats us.

It’s the only thing that keeps your mind out of stress especially when you have kids who are not yet big enough to look after themselves while you as the only bread winner. It’s not all that bad to prepare for it nor be afraid of it.

As Nate says in one of Six Feet Under’s series when a girl asked him why we have to die he stressed out, “To make life important”. That’s why while we are alive, we should make the most of everything.

I Don’t Need One Yet

I just found out that Phentermine is a prescription diet pill and is said to be the most sought after these days. I don’t think I would need one soon though. I am just curious what this medicine is all about after seeing this name many times on my other blog’s spam comments. Now I know what it is with the help of consumerpricewatch.net.

Harley Riders

Since we moved here in CT, I noticed a lot of motorcycles. It seems like more and more people are enticed to own new or used Harleys because they have this club or an organization where they can all meet up. Besides that, they can drive their motorcycles without wearing helmets.

It can be dangerous, but I guess the ‘macho’ image is more important than safety when you drive a Harley for most of the proud owners. I don’t think I would like that. Just a friendly reminder though— safety first when you’re on the road.

Elliptical Machines

I would love to go back working out one of these days. I really miss that. I used to do Pilates, but after having a baby I have got no time anymore. Perhaps, I still have I just don’t feel up to it this time. LOL! Those elliptical machines look really something, huh? I don’t think I need them though. I am happy enough without having to sweat a lot at all. I am lean enough, you know.

Garden Decor

I admire people who are into gardening. I could imagine the love, time and passion they put into it. Not to mention the money as well since you would have to buy the tools and the plants. If I were to make a garden look really nice, I would consider a garden decor too. The flowering plants need some company, don’t you think?

Advertise with Pens

I have noticed that a lot of public establishments like restaurants, machine shops, golf ranges, and the like are into promotions that doesn’t necessarily cost too much.

Did you know that they actually advertise through little things they offer to their customers for free such as on matches, golf tees, or pens with the name and other information specifically the addresses and phone numbers of the store or restaurant printed on them?

I think that’s really clever. I noticed it a lot on pens which are really very useful anytime. It’s a good reminder for customers or potential clients that may get the chance of using it which will eventually drive in sales or frequent patronization.

Dreaming A European Cruise

As I have mentioned previously, winter time is our vacation time. The hubby likes to spend winter some place warm. I guess living in the north most of his time during warmer days and going down south to avoid the freezing cold here is smart enough.

We will definitely be in Florida this winter like usual. How I wish we could go on a cruise one day. European cruises are attractive enough for me who has never been in one. Perhaps someday, he would love the idea.

I Don’t Need My MTV, Anymore!

Since I got married, I am no longer a big fan of MTV. I used to watch it a lot if not, I would listen to my favorite FM station. We don’t even own an audio system at all as we couldn’t see any use of it this time. My son does listen to his children’s music through the DVD/CD player though.

I guess we do have the player but not the big fancy sound boxes which would need audio racks. We don’t have enough room in our place too that’s why we prefer to get minimalist of whatever we have to setup. It’s better that way.

I Like Pet Birds

I am not into animals. Don’t get me wrong. I am just not in tune with caring for them in ways that animal lovers do, but I do prefer birds as pets if I were to pick. In this country, I noticed that a lot of people do have pets and that they give them their full attention when it comes to proper hygiene, food, and shelter.

They spend money on veterinarian visits and pet supplies. I like the birds because they don’t take a lot of work, I guess. It’s not like dogs with which you would have to be really active with. Well, that’s just me. I don’t know about you.

Sharing The Same Sink

At home, hubby and I have separate toilets. We have two. He likes his privacy so much he would not use mine unless for a shower and when he brushes his teeth. That way, we could at least share the same sink.

I have read an article about that in RD talking about couples being different in many ways and not sharing even for one thing can be an issue. In the end, sharing the same toothpaste and the same sink is one of the many simple things that a married couple should not be overlooked.
